The magazine?s 15th-annual reader survey of the absolute best hotels in the world rated Woodlands Inn as the fourth finest lodging ? including all resorts, hotels and inns ? in the United States and Canada. The property, which is owned by Sheila C. Johnson and managed by Salamander Hospitality, also placed second in the North American inns category. And, with a score of 94.18 out of 100, Woodlands came tied for 24th of all lodgings in the world.

A key aspect of that experience is removing any concerns visitors may have about storing and transporting their clubs while on property. At check in, a staff member takes the guest?s bag, tags it and stores it in the main clubhouse until needed for practice or a tee time. The clubs, which are cleaned between rounds, are then taken to the appropriate course at the appropriate time.
